01. ALL YEAR ROUND
The main premise for this garden is that it can be enjoyed all year round. We have translated the Mediterranean atmosphere that can be felt in many houses (which we have furnished) into a garden that can be used immediately even on a rainy day with 1 hour of sunshine.
One of the most important principles is that the garden must be 100% ready for use all year round. So no garden sets that need to be stored or complex protective covers that you have to remove.
The SUNS pergola from Dutch Garden is perfectly suited for this. It has an aluminum frame with a slatted roof. In case of too much sun or rain, it can be closed so that your furniture is protected. The rain runs down through a drain in the posts, so you don’t see it and no splash water gets on the furniture.
When the sun is shining, you can open it fully so that you can enjoy the warmth to the fullest. It is even equipped with curtains on the sides so that you are also protected in case of a little wind or too much sun.

02. DINING & CHILLING
Nowadays there are very strong fabrics such as the Sunbrella fabric that is UV resistant and water repellent. A lounge sofa, sunbeds or decorative cushions made of this fabric can remain outside almost all year round without being affected. The moment the fabric gets dirty due to a stain or greenish deposit, you can easily clean it with a soft brush and soap and rinse well and it will be like new again.
Combine the modern lounge corner with an old antique (wooden) table. By making the mix between old and new, it becomes less sterile and creates a cosy, warm atmosphere. An old wooden oak table combined with more modern chairs is a nice mix. The advantage is that old wood often works much less and therefore remains very beautiful.
