The challenge in this project was the design of the mood board. The owner had 5 paintings by a South African artist friend. The assignment was therefore to furnish and decorate each room based on the painting of that room.
That was a genius idea that really made the art fully integrated into the interior of the house and came into its own. It was also important to make a good connection between inside and outside. The red tile floor has therefore been replaced by a cast floor in camel color that has been fully implemented from the inside to the outside.
Below the result of this complete makeover
The style of the house has become a combination of a Rural Modern design.
We have based ourselves on a number of fixed data such as the color of the facade (beige), color of the shutters (white), the new cast floor to be realized in the color ‘Camel’ and the existing art. The basic colors beige sand, earth tones and accent black have been chosen, complemented by the decoration in the colors terracotta, ocher yellow and bordeaux red.
Assumptions:
The result has become a bright and cheerful holiday home, where the three generations of their family can enjoy wonderful holidays together.
The family house that has been in our possession for years has had a complete makeover. Apart from the art and some beds that were still good, everything has been redecorated. We can’t wait to enjoy the result with the whole family
