01. THE CHALLENGE
This 300 year old sheep farm is fully furnished by Lemon Tree Interior, both inside and out. The challenge in this project was to create several cozy sitting areas, so that you can always find a quiet spot for large groups (16 people). In addition, the old sheep farm has few windows and round walls in many places, which made logical design a great challenge.
Below the result of this complete makeover:

02. THE STYLE
The style of the house has become a mix of a Provencal atmosphere combined with a Scandinavian design. These two styles are almost opposites, but by keeping the colors the same in both styles, we were able to form a unity.
Based on a number of fixed data such as the color of the facade and floor (natural stone), the basic colours have been chosen: white, light grey, sand tones and black and in the decoration olive green and grayed blue. We have supplemented this with many plants to break the hardness of the natural stone. Real plants were not possible due to the few windows, so very high quality artificial plants were chosen.
Assumptions:
- Natural materials, light colours
- Suitable for large groups
- Preservation of authentic details
- Mostly low furniture due to round walls
03. THE RESULT
The result has become a natural and authentic home, where a group of 16 people can always find a cozy corner somewhere to read a book, for example.
Decorating a house in France proved to be very challenging to us. To save stress and not to sacrifice many holidays to furnish our house, we have decided to outsource this completely to Lemon Tree Interior. After the professional help from Debby our Bastide feels like home to us. We highly appreciate and recommend the service of “Lemon Tree”
